Description

wood, greyish brown patina, crowned by a bearded head with elaborate headdress (garland from calabashs, curled snakes), rich scarification marks, drilled holes, slightly dam. (nose, right ear), missing part (coiffure backside);
“eshus” main characteristic, the long neck lobe, is missing.


The object “Eshu” dance wand with the object ID 3041995 was last part of the auction 85th Tribal Art Auction at March 4, 2017 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house and had the lot number 297.
