Description

wood, blackish brown patina, encrusted in some areas, traces of red and white pigment, raised scarifications at the temples, grooved tattoos on the cheeks, open snout, flanked by strong horns, drilled holes for insertion of ornament, slightly dam., minor missing parts (crest), fine cracks, abrasion of paint, metal base;
the mask was worn horizontally on the head; with vaulted underside for a better fit and wearing comfort.
