Description

wood, polychrome paint, encrusted patina, hide, painted with dots, dam., insect caused damage (base), cracks, hole (leather drum skin), paint rubbed off, base.
The Igala settle at the left bank of the Niger, south of his confluence with the Benue; their neighbours are the Igbo and the Idoma, but they had been in contact with the Bini, the Yoruba and the Jukun ever since.
