Of extraordinary minimalistic shape, the usually depicted female attributes (coiffure, navel, breasts, scarification marks) missing. Like the “mwana hiti” dolls used for initiation ceremonies and also worn by women in order to enhance fertility.


The object Doll-like torso figure with the object ID 3043721 was part of the auction 89th Tribal Art Auction on July 7, 2018. The object with the lot number 502 achieved a sales price of EUR 3,700 with an asking price of EUR 3,500.
