Description

wood, red and black paint, kaolin, hook-shaped staff, carved with the stylized head of a hornbill and standing female figure, slightly dam., minor missing parts, cracks, metal plate;
used by diviners among the Bwa, Bobo, Nunuma, Lobi and other Voltaic groups. The hornbill is a bird of great magical power.
