Description

wood, brown patina, slightly shiny, encrusted in some areas, decorating nails, crowned by an anthropomorphic head, the facial features slightly askew, fine carved turban-like coiffure in three lobes, slightly dam. (coiffure), some decorating nails missing (shaft)t, small area with insect caused damage (shaft), paint rubbed off;
chief staffs were frequently decorated with figures and heads, they were regarded as insignias of social rank.
