Description

wood, middle brown patina, pokerwork, crowned by a janiform head, min. dam., fine cracks, slight traces of abrasion, wooden socle;
the Jonga are a small ethnic group, living in the central Democratic Republic of Congo on the banks of the rivers Lohale and Tshuapa, to the south of the Mbole. Their artistic style reminds of the Tsogho in Gabon.
