Description

wood, black paint, plant fibres, wearing a “mukinka” mask in front of the face, costume and conical headgear from plant fibre, min. dam., small missing part (right foot tip), slight traces of abrasion, base;
these masked dancer figures were adopted from the Chokwe.


The object Dancer with the object ID 3039327 was part of the auction 81st Tribal Art Auction on October 31, 2015. The object with the lot number 488 achieved a sales price of EUR 2,600 with an asking price of EUR 1,000.
