Description
wood, lygodium, red and yellow ochre, chalk, trochus shell, plant fibre cord, two masks in openwork design, made from fine woven cane, attached to wooden stick, covered with a thick layer of earth pigments and adorned with pieces of trochus shell rings, abrasion of paint, traces of old age and usage;
“vagi” wands were used by men on occasion of ceremonial dances.
