Description
wood, board-shaped flat, bicoloured, decorated with a striped pattern in reddish brown and blackish brown, the curved contour accentuated by tufts of animal hair, raised circle motif in the centre, carved handle backside, the broadest areas strengthened with bamboo, slightly dam.;
during ceremonial festivities Bagobo men could be seen with a wooden shield used in a warrior’s dance when not actively utilized in armed combat. Small bells often are attached to the edges of the shield.
