Description

wood, dark brown patina, kaolin, helmet-shaped, wings in concentrical grooves, slightly dam., traces of insect caused damage, missing parts (tip of the right wing), acrylic base;
according to P. Harter to the Bamileke birds have a special connotation with death, connecting heaven and earth as two realms of the living and the dead.
