Description

brass hilt with open work decor, pointed blade, punched on both sides, min. dam., traces of corrosion, L. 37 cm; sword sheath made from light wood and leather, stretched with sackcloth and provided with coloured miniature glass beads, min. dam., traces of usage, l: 68 cm;
the decoration of objects wih polychrome glass beads was a sign of prestige and was restricted to the use at the royal court for a long time.
