Description
bronze, two of the figures probably depict the goddess “Dantesvari”, who is regarded as the family goddess of the former ruling house of Bastar and thus as the “state goddess”.
These figures were placed on shrines, or donated to a temple in gratitude for the goddess’s help in an emergency situation or for answering a request.
