Description

wood, reddish brown patina, kaolin, thirteen pointed teeth, plate with incised diamond-shaped decor, handle in openwork design, slightly dam.
The Bini, even known as “Edo” (just like their language of the same name), are the descendants of the founders of the Benin Empire.


The object Comb, around 1900/1910 with the object ID 3043009 was last part of the auction 87th Tribal Art Auction at November 11, 2017 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 286 achieved a sales price of EUR 600.
