wood, shiny brown patina, shaft wrapped in sections with plaited metal wire, collection number “18368”, min. dam., small missing parts (metal wire), slight traces of abrasion;
the south african club or “knobkerrie” is a symbol for the Zulu. A man always carried one with him, because it was an effective weapon made from hard wood (very often teak).
