wood, reddish brown and blackish patina, moustache from real hair, fixed with blackish mass, emblem on the forehead, and incised signs, slightly dam., minor missing part and crack at the chin, on metal base;
only little is known about the usage of the masks. According to a Nepalese source there was a category of masks sculpted in the memory of the ancestor who disappeared. Some masks are said to represent demons, others clowns.
