wood, remains of polychrome paint, round handle, carved with a kneeling female figure, surmounted by a horned animal head, the blade merging out of its mouth, min. dam., cracks, traces of abrasion;
ceremonial axes are dedicated to “ogun”, the deity of iron and war, sometimes to “shango”, the god of thunder.
