Description

wood, shiny blackish brown patina, in shape of a standing female figure, raised scarification marks on the belly, min. dam., rep., missing part (base), slight traces of abrasion, on wooden base;
based on coiffure and tattoos the female caryatid figures can be recognized as notables, depicting ancestors and female clan founders.The carayatid stools were reserved for the chief and represented the continuity of power.
