The bullroarer is an ancient ritual musical instrument and a device historically used for communicating over greatly extended distances.

Attached to cord and swirled around very fast they produce a tone in various frequences. Used in the cult they were interpreted as the voices of ancestors and spirits.


The object Bullroarer with the object ID 3049981 was last part of the auction 101st Auction at November 11, 2023 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 111 achieved a sales price of EUR 600.
