These cloth were used on altars to cover ritual objects (bells, “dorje”, etc.).They were traditionally made from imported Chinese silk.


The object Buddhist altarcloth, around 1900 with the object ID 3045514 was last part of the auction 91 Tribal Art Auction at March 9, 2019 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house and had the lot number 32.
