ivory, honey brown patina, of oval form, natural grains, min. dam.;
the origin of such bare bracelets without decor can hardly be determined. Among the Baule for example, it was a sign of wealth for a man to be able to offer such a bracelet to his “senior wife” when he married a second woman.


The object Bracelet with the object ID 3033720 was last part of the auction 71st tribal art auction at November 24, 2012 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 236 achieved a sales price of EUR 800.
