Description

wood, carrying a flat disc-shaped receptacle on the head, which is held with the right hand, nearly entirely coated with thick encrusted sacrificial patina, traces of feathers (receptacle), traces of insect caused damage, missing part (front part of the base), pedestal;
the bowl as a symbol for the traditional role of women, the task of which is to provide their men with food. Presumably carved on behalf of a man/widower who asked his ancestors for sending him a traditional woman.
