Description

fired clay, painted with condor motifs, drilled hole in the bottom, min. dam., slight traces of abrasion;
the painting is polychrome as the Nazca artists had managed to develop a whole series of fireresisting colours applied to vessels before firing. The themes chosen are affected by a strong symbolism but do not show any individual representations of princes, priests or warriors.
