Description

fired clay, painted with condor motifs, drilled hole in the bottom, min. dam., slight traces of abrasion;
the painting is polychrome as the Nazca artists had managed to develop a whole series of fireresisting colours applied to vessels before firing. The themes chosen are affected by a strong symbolism but do not show any individual representations of princes, priests or warriors.


The object Bowl with the object ID 3033234 was part of the auction 76th tribal art auction on March 22, 2014. The object with the lot number 93 achieved a sales price of EUR 700 with an asking price of EUR 350.
