A symbol of the dignity of the “wunkirle” – the most hospitable woman in the village.

The “wunkirle” had to prepare meals for feasts in the circumcision camps as well as on great days and for every visitor of the village.

In order to meet this demand she needs a helping spirit, which is manifested in the big spoon “wa ke mia”.


The object Big ceremonial spoon “wa ke mia” or “wunkirmian” with the object ID 3045413 was last part of the auction 91 Tribal Art Auction at March 9, 2019 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 130 achieved a sales price of EUR 2,500.
