Description
ivory, reddish brown patina, covered with fabric, bark cloth and a rough lattice-like raffia netting, the long neck with oval mouthpiece remained free, crowned by a stylized anthropomorphic head with crested coiffure and vertical incised tattoos, slightly dam., cracks through age, casing of fabric and bark cloth mostly missing;
probably used by a hunter, because the trumpet is wrapped in vegetable material. Used for calling each other of for warning or for amusement in the camp of the hunters when they passed the night in the bush.
