Description

wood, dark brown patina, shiny in parts, blower with two large-sized air chambers and one air pipe in stylized anthropomorphic form, the membranes of animal skin now missing, partly carved with geometrical incisions, min. dam., small missing parts, cracks, traces of abrasion and usage, base;
such bellows were used by blacksmiths to ignite fire. The stylized human head and the two chambers conceived as breasts form a female figure.


The object Bellow with the object ID 3036490 was last part of the auction 76th tribal art auction at March 22, 2014 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 560 achieved a sales price of EUR 1,200.
