wood, rich reddish brown patina, barrel-shaped corpus, decorated with accurately incised ornaments: continuous pattern of linear ridges with grid-pattern inbetween, rising from a foot in openwork design with seven angled “legs”, slightly dam., rep. (rim?), small crack
