Description

wood, fabric, cord, polychrome miniature glass beads (predominantly in pink), thread on strings and sewn on fabric, forming ornaments, separately worked bird attached, mounted on wooden board with its backside covered in cloth, ribbon for suspension, slightly dam., wooden plate broken and marked by small traces of insect caused damage, tears and missing parts in the fabric on the backside, traces of old age, beadwork itself in very good condition;
either a ritual dance panel “yata”, worn by a priest of “ifa” on festival occasions or employed as a hanging in an “ifa"shrine “agbo ifa ati orisa”.
