Description

coarse sacking coated with cotton cloth, covered with strings of multi-coloured glass beads, forming floral patterns and four schematized faces, hook-shaped projections, slightly dam., glass beads missing in some areas, base;
the faces are a reference to “odudua”, the ancestor and progenitor of all the Yoruba kings. The crown has been charged with power by the magic substance concealed in the very top.
