Description

iron, metal sheet, wood, blade in openwork design, each side decorated with an anthropomorphic face, the shaft covered with copper sheet, min. dam., traces of corrosion;
these axes represent an absolute high light in Songe craftsmanship.
The blade is thus supported on an almost baroque-like iron work creating, despite its weight, a graceful impression.

The object Axe with the object ID 3033595 was last part of the auction 70th tribal art auction at September 8, 2012 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house and had the lot number 466.
