wood, matt brown patina, black pigment remains, rectangular form, carved in half relief with a standing figure holding a head in its hands, dam., traces of weathering, missing parts, cracks, metal frame;
the depiction of a head hunting scene is extremely rare to find with the Naga.
Naga is a collective term for more than thirty ethnical groups settling in the northeastern part of the Indian Subcontinent. They live spread on the federal states of Manipur, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and across the border in Burma.
