According to Marc Leo Felix, this mask was discovered ‘“n situ” at the Tale. It originally had a beard attached to the chin, but this was removed by the collector who acquired it. It was part of the paraphernalia of a “bwami” member and was later given to a teacher working in the region.
The object Anthropomorphic mask “lukwakongo” with the object ID 3052381 was last part of the auction Auction 105 at November 15, 2025 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 351 achieved a sales price of EUR 1,200.
