The “ishyeen imaalu” mask is part of a triad of masks belonging to “babende” men’s societies which are found in many communities loacated in the central and northern Kuba region.


The object Anthropomorphic mask “ishyeen imaalu” with the object ID 3046912 was part of the auction Voyage Tribal Art - Live Online Auction on May 23, 2020. The object with the lot number 214 achieved a sales price of EUR 280 with an asking price of EUR 250.
