This mask, with its calm, balanced expression, embodies the idealised aesthetics of the classical period of Teotihuacan. It features clearly defined lips, inlaid indentations at the corners of the mouth and eyes, a strikingly shaped aquiline nose, and finely arched, narrow eyebrows
