Felix reported in 2003 on a comparable mask found near Lusambo, among the Sungu / Tetela (cf. AHDRC 0042733).
Formal and stylistic features such as box shape, grooved decoration and protruding mouth are reminiscent of “kifwebe” masks of the Songye.
The object Anthropomorphic mask with the object ID 3050067 was part of the auction 101st Auction on November 11, 2023. The object with the lot number 188 achieved a sales price of EUR 600 with an asking price of EUR 500.
