Description

wood, stained brown patina, traces of black paint, kaolin (eye zone), eyes and nose especially accentuated: the eyes bulging and the nose overlong and extreme edged, the mouth in contrast unremarkable and small, drilled holes at the chin for attachment of a beard, raw surface structure, slightly dam., missing part (chin, above all visible from the back), fine cracks, traces of old age and weathering (upper rim), base;
presumably belonging to the “idimu” mask type.
