For generations, farmers in Sierra Leone and adjacent areas of Liberia and Guinea have unearthed small stone figures.

Broadly attributed to the forefathers of the present-day Kissi people and the vanished Sapi peoples, the carvings range from heads and half figures to full figures and groups.


The object Anthropomorphic head sculpture with the object ID 3050434 was part of the auction 102nd Auction on April 13, 2024. The object with the lot number 28 achieved a sales price of EUR 1,600 with an asking price of EUR 400.
