This figure was found under big rocks on the slope of Cape Nome in 1968. It was found together with another sculpture, a half-figure pegged into his wooden kayak. Both objects might have belonged to a shaman.
The object Anthropomorphic figure, 19th century with the object ID 3049748 was last part of the auction Sale 100 at April 15, 2023 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 23 achieved a sales price of EUR 8,000.
