Description

wooden core, the facial plane coated with skin, eyes and mouth opening left free, crowned by a pair of curved horns, min. dam., rep., minor missing parts, slight traces of abrasion;
the tradition of dance crests spread along trading routes to the Cameronn Grassfields. This example is carved in Bamileke style, but belongs to the “ngbe” society and the Ejagham complex.
