Description

wood, shiny dark brown patina, tribe-typical facial features and coiffure, resting on two legs with bold feet, min. dam., slight traces of abrasion, base;
for palm wine, which was used for ritual purposes, which is why such cups were made of precious wood and were carved with special care. The broadened head and the shaved temples suggest a horned coiffure, typical for male dignitaries and for women giving birth for the first time.
