Description

wood, pigments, traces of a torn old label

“Djela” is regarded as the descendant of the renowned mask pair “zamble” and “gu,” yet none of their mystical powers flow through him. Instead, he captivates through sheer presence: a magnificent dancer who performs with grace and flair at all manner of festivities. His performances enchant the audience, without serving any ritual function.

The object Anthropo-zoomorphic mask “djela” with the object ID 3052896 was part of the auction Auction 106 on April 25, 2026, lot number 260 at that time and is currently available for EUR 2,500 in Open sale.
