Description

wood, pigments, a bonnet of rough fabric with long extending strings of raffia, surmounted by the stylized figure of an antelope

“Zazaigo” dance crests appear at “nakomsé” celebrations and funerals of the ruling classes.

They are strongly reminiscent of the “tjiwara” antelope dance crests of the Bamana and it is quite possible that they were adopted from there.
