Description

light brown wood, dark brown patina, backswept horns, pierced ears, min. dam., traces of insect caused damage, abrasion, base;
the “tjiwara” mask dancer wears a shaggy tunic, braided with long black fibre with cotton tassels and a cap of cotton or plant fibre weaving. Present “tjiwara” belongs to the “horizontal” (female) type.


The object Antelope dance crest “tjiwara” with the object ID 3035749 was last part of the auction 75th tribal art auction at November 30, 2013 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 151 achieved a sales price of EUR 1,400.
