wood, shiny brown patina, remains of pigments, collection number “5020” at the bottom, metal tag eyes (one missing), min. dam., abrasion of paint.
Devotees of “eshu” used to wear such amulets on their wrists during ritual dances and masquerades.


The object Amulet of the “eshu” cult with the object ID 3043368 was part of the auction 88th Tribal Art Auction on March 10, 2018. The object with the lot number 312 achieved a sales price of EUR 600 with an asking price of EUR 450.
