Description

wood, reddish brown patina, traces of dotted painting, remains of indigo blue pigment, of massive form, in shape of a half figure, provided with club and thunder bolt, slightly dam., minor missing parts, cracks, number on the underside “1680”;
served as base for wooden receptacles where the prehistoric stone axes “edun ara” were kept, which “orisha sango” used to throw against those who displeased him.
