Getting there

No matter what direction you come, there is always fast and good connections to Wurzburg. The international airports in Frankfurt and Nuremberg are just over 100 km away, and the business airport Giebelstadt is only 15 minutes away.

Wurzburg is conveniently located intersection of several motorways and the ICE trains stop every hour.

It is always worth a visit and not only for tribal art! World history has left its mark in Wurzburg. More than 1300 years of history are documented. In 1973 Wurzburg was awarded the European Prize for European Understanding and in 1981 its world-famous residence of the Wurzburg prince bishops was included in the UNESCO world cultural heritage list.

Arriving by plane:

The international airports in Frankfurt and Nuremberg are just over 100 km away; about 1.5 hours drive by car or train.

The business airport Giebelstadtwith border crossing point also for Non-EU citizens is only 15 minutes away.

Arriving by car:

When coming from Cologne, Frankfurt, Munich or Nuremberg take the A 3

From Basel, Zurich and Stuttgart take the A 81

From Hamburg and Hannover take the A 7

From Dresden and Leipzig take the A 7 / A 71

From Berlin take the A 9 / A 70

Arriving by train:

From Wurzburg main station, then either walk for 20 minutes through the historic city centre, or by tram, lines 1, 3, 4, 5 and stop at Neubaustrasse. From there it is only 4 minutes walk.

Parking:

Parking in Wurzburg is easy - 3490 parking spaces in 14 car parks and parking lots are located in prime locations. In addition there are parking spaces on both sides of the nearby roads.
