Luciano Federico, Italy Luciano first visited the Philippines in 1978 with his Japanese wife Mayumi. They spent six months there, mainly in the mountain province of Luzon, where they collected many interesting pieces. From 1978 to 1984 he made at least more ten trips, travelling throughout the country.

Hugo Hendrik Hage, Velserbroek, The Netherlands (coll. in situ in the 1950s) Hage was working for the Batavian Oil Company as communication officer and supervisor. BPM was the Dutch East Indies and later Indonesian subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell oil company established in 1907. Hage was stationed in Dutch New Guinea, Asmat region in the 1950s and went back to the Netherlands in 1959.

Meyer, Paris, France Lempertz, Brussels, 11 June 2011, lot 5 Zemanek-Münster, Würzburg, 2 June 2012, Lot 30 Bettina Rübesam, Munich, Germany John Peter Hallinan's interest in oceanic art was sparked at a young age by the superb collection of ethnographic objects at Chicago’s Field Museum of Natural History. In the early 1960s, the eccentric American came to Australia. As an adult he concentrated on Melanesian material culture and pursued this new interest with determination and intellectual rigor. During the next twentyfive years Hallinan made twenty-six field expeditions to PNG, collecting and documenting Melanesian Art. He lived among the people in remote areas and studied their diverse cultures and traditional artworks. Over time, he became one of the best informed and most respected tribal art dealer in Australia.

Edmund Müller (1898-1976), Beromünster, Switzerland Sotheby's, New York, 22 November 1998, Lot 21 Important Viennese Collection Dorotheum, Vienna, 4 December 2018, Lot 122 In the house "Zum Dolder" in the village of Beromünster, three generations of provincial doctors have amassed a wide-ranging art collection over a period of more than 100 years. Dr. Edmund Müller jr., who took over the practice in 1929, continued his family's collecting activities and expanded the spectrum to include exhibits from all non-European continents. With great care he bought objects collected during early German expeditions. The family lived with the collection. The mask is shown in a photo from the living area. In order to preserve the precious collection from his family in Beromünster, Dr. Edmund Müller jun. established a foundation in 1969. At Dr. Müller's death in 1976, the collection passed into the foundation.
